The journey from Chicago to Seattle takes approximately 44 hours, covering a distance of 2210 miles and two time zones.
The journey from Detroit to Chicago takes approximately 5 hours and 29 minutes, covering a distance of 237 miles. The train route includes stops in Hammond-Whiting, Indiana; Michigan City, Indiana; Niles, Dowagiac, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, East Lansing, Durand, Flint, Lapeer, Port Huron, St. Joseph-Benton Harbor, Bangor, Holland, Grand Rapids, Albion, Jackson, Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Detroit, Royal Oak, Troy, and finally Pontiac.
